Ryan Marzolph

Bio:
I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil. I studied art in college, getting my BFA in New Media, then moved to LA to work in film. But as my career flourished, my own creative pursuits fell by the wayside. 

My current practice is a reconciliation of my lifelong relationship with art. I’ve intentionally adopted new tools, subjects, and constraints to push myself to learn and grow as an artist again. I’m currently working with ink and marker, a medium where every stroke is permanent. Learning to adapt to and accept imperfections, rather than correcting them, has allowed me to value these as artifacts of human creativity and part of my process.
